Horatio School District Board of Education – July 14 Regular Meeting Recap
The Horatio School District Board of Education met in regular session on Tuesday, July 14, at the Administration Building.
The Board accepted the resignations of Eleuterio Sanchez and LaTasha Hudson.
The Board approved the employment of the following staff members:
Mark Burdine – Teacher/Assistant Football Coach
Marietta Titsworth – Special Education Teacher
Laura Medrano – Title I Paraprofessional
Ercilia Gomez – Special Education Paraprofessional
Emily Wise – Special Education Paraprofessional
Debra Lee – Cafeteria Worker
The Board also approved the following contract changes:
Jessica Glasgow – Teacher/Golf Coach, from a 190-day contract to a 205-day contract
Virginia Vandiver – from a 240-day Custodian position to a 179-day paraprofessional position
As part of the transition to rebalanced board terms, Board members drew for term lengths. The results are as follows:
Joe Jones – Term expires in 2030
Stephanie Carver – Term expires in 2032
Joshua Butler – Term expires in 2032
Additional Board actions included approval of the 2026–2027 Federal Assurances, revisions to the Elementary Student Handbook, ASBA policy updates, and the district's routine monthly reports.
