Business Manager / Human Resources Director
Horatio School District is seeking a detail-oriented, dependable professional to serve as Business Manager / Human Resources Director. This combined position plays a vital role in supporting district operations through sound financial management and responsive personnel services.
The selected candidate will follow a valued employee with 46 years of service to the district. Training and transition support will be provided to help the successful applicant develop a strong understanding of district procedures and responsibilities.
Primary Responsibilities
Manage district financial operations, including budgeting, accounting, payroll, accounts payable, and financial reporting.
Support compliance with applicable financial requirements and assist with audits.
Coordinate human resources functions, including employment paperwork, personnel records, employee benefits, and leave administration.
Work closely with the superintendent and district staff to support effective daily operations.
Maintain accurate records and protect confidential financial and personnel information.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
Experience in school finance, accounting, bookkeeping, payroll, or a related field.
Familiarity with Arkansas school finance procedures and eFinance software is helpful.
Experience with human resources or employee benefits is an asset.
Strong organizational, technology, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Willingness to learn and manage multiple responsibilities and deadlines.
