The following statement was issued by the sheriff's office:
Deputies did respond to the Horatio Elementary School for a false report of gunfire that was actually an electrical issue. The school was temporarily locked down as a precaution but quickly cleared once school officials and law enforcement assessed the situation.
We would like to thank the Sevier County Sheriff's Department and all of the emergency responders that acted so efficiently on behalf of our Horatio students and staff.
Tomorrow is Pink Out! Everyone wear pink to school and to the game to show support for Breast Cancer Awareness.
Don't forget! Lady Lions Chicken Dinner Friday night at the Assembly of God Fellowship Hall across from the football field. We will begin serving at 4:00PM. Come out and support your Lady Lions!!

School Performance
Horatio School Board recognized the Lady Lion Golf Team Monday Night at the regular scheduled board meeting. They had a terrific winning season and placed 2nd in the 2A State Tournament! Congratulations to Cadee Glasgow, Reese Walker, Kinley Rankin, Demi Leonard, and Coach Stephen Sprick!
